As a continuation to the “Meet the Scientist” Programme which is being organized every year, the Department of Physics organized a talk titled ‘Inter University Accelerator Center: A National Heavy Ion Beam Facility’ on 25th October 2021 via Google meet platform from 9.15 am – 10.30 pm. Mr. N Saneesh, Scientist D, Nuclear Physics Group, Inter University Accelerator Center, New Delhi, served as resource person. In the session he explained  about accelerators, the need and use of accelerators in detail. He explained about the major programmes in IUAC, New Delhi. Explained about the various particle accelerators available at IUAC,  Research works happening in the field of material science at IUAC etc.
