WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
The Department of Banking and Financial Services in association with the Nature club of St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery organized an event of planting saplings and sapling distribution in connection with WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY(05/06/2022). The event was meant the students of entire college and students of various department and nature club members were also present for the programme The coordinators were department HOD Ms. Marymol John , Fr.Alias P george ,Ms.Aleena and Nature club co-ordinators Dr. Binil kumar and Ms.Renjitha Johnson. The first sapling was bed out by The Director Fr. Fleix Chullikkal and later by Principal Dr. Savitha and the coordinators followed by students of our college.

Online Quiz Competition on WORLD TOURISM DAY
The Department of B.voc Banking And Financial Services OF ST. PAUL’S COLLEGE,KALAMASSERY. Organized an Online Quiz Competition as a part of WORLD TOURISM DAY. The quiz was meant for all. The Faculty Coordinators were Marymol John HOD of the Department. The Department Student Coordinators were Rithika T George 2nd Year And Sneha Martin 2nd year. Participants who scored 80% and above provided E – Certificates. There were 74 responses.
CAREER ORIENTED ADD ON COURSES
The Department of Banking and Financial Services in association with Placement Cell and Career Guidance of St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery and ASAP (Additional Skill Acquisition Programme) organized a webinar based on ‘Career Oriented Add On Courses’. The resource persons for the webinar were Varghese George, District Programme Manager, Asap Ernakulam and Amith Narayanan, Programme Manager In Charge Of Advanced Skill Development Centre, Kalamassery. The faculty coordinators were Stalin P C, Marymol John, Fr. Alias P George and student coordinator was Aparna John of 3rd year. It was a 2 hour programme. There were 44 participants.

Visit to old age home
On 18th of august 2021, faculty and students of Banking and Financial services Department, St.Paul’s College ,Kalamassery visited Bethsada Hospital in Vengola where about 35 patients with mental illness is undergoing treatment .The Objective of the visit was to “Help The Helpless”.The program were organised by the Head of the department Mrs. Marymol John along with other faculty; Fr. Alias P George, Mrs. Subha T, Mrs. Jinu and Mrs. Priyanka E Thambi. Joyal and Siyan Fathima represented the second year class and Prakash Karki and Abina Martin represented the third year class . An amount of Rupees 3500 were collected from the students of our department and the amount was contributed towards their “Onam Sadhya 2021”

Inter departmental poem writing competition as a part of World Environment Day
The Department of Banking and Financial Services, St. Paul’s College, Kalamaserry organized a poem writing competition on 5th June 2021 as a part of World Environment Day celebration. 10 students from various departments participated in the competition. Mr. Neeraj Umesh, second year student of M.A. Literature and Ms. Sania Gonsalves, third year student of BBA department secured first and second prize respectively in English poem writing competition. Mr. Archit Ameya, second year student of M.A. Literature and Ms. Rajalakshmi K R, second year student of Banking and Financial Services department won the first and second prize respectively in Malayalam poem writing competition. Winners were awarded with a certificate.
Inter departmental quiz on World Environment Day 2021
The Department of Banking and Financial Services in association with the Quiz Club of St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery organized an online Interdepartmental quiz competition in connection with WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY. The quiz was meant for all so, 20 questions were asked relating to World Environment Day. The faculty coordinators were Marymol John and Prof. Maya K. The Department student coordinators were Surya Babu of third year and Siyan Fathima of second year. Participants who scored 80% and above were provided E – Certificates. There were 92 responses.
QUIZ ON GLOBAL MONEY WEEK
An online quiz competition was conducted by the department of Banking and Financial Services in association with SEBI in connection with Global Money Week on 26th March 2021. 81 participants took part in the quiz competition, first and second place were secured by Aleesha Peter of 2nd Year B.Com CA (Aided) and Shawn Thomas of 3rd year B.Voc Banking and Financial Services respectively. The winners are awarded with a Cash prize and Certificate.
FINANCIAL EDUCATION- AN AWARENESS PROGRAMME
In connection with Global Money Week Department of Banking and Financial Services in association with Securities and Exchange Board of India conducted a Financial Education-An Awareness Programme on 25 March 2021 at 7.00pm on Webex. The resource person for the webinar was Dr.Reji M.A Retired Principal of ST. Peters College, Kolencherry and SEBI Finance Education programme Resource Person. More than 30 students participated for the same. The resource person explained various investment avenues and the need for financial awareness and planning.

A Yoga Training Program BODHI has been organized at St. Paul’s college on 26 February 2021 at the college auditorium by the Department of Banking and Financial Services and yoga club. First year b. voc banking students attended the session. Asst. Professor
Jinu Miss made the welcome speech. The session on yoga was taken by Livina Elsa Vinu II b. voc banking student of St. Paul’s college. The program name was BODHI focused on connecting mind and soul, breathing practice asanas,12 steps of Surya namaskar, were practiced. Siyan Fathima, student of I b. Voc banking made the vote of thanks. Department HOD & Asst. Prof. Gissmol Mary and Asst. Professor Subha Miss Convey the advantage of yoga.
Community Empowerment Program – Kudumbashree Visit(Extension) 2019-20
As part of the community empowerment programme, the Department of B.Voc Banking and Financial Service had organised an outreach program that facilitated our students to render an enlightening session on Mobile Banking awareness to self-help groups. This program was conducted in January 2020 focusing on five different panchayats of Ernakulam District. It was our proud privilege to take our students to the Kudumbashree units within the district and enable them to present sessions on trends and opportunities relating to the mobile banking realm.
