As part of World Environment Day celebration 2021, an inter-department slogan writing competition was organised by the Department of Chemistry in association with Nature club and ENCON Club. The theme for slogan writing competition was Ecosystem Restoration. Anisha Maria Job, I BA English Model 2 secured first prize, Annliya N.J, I BCom CA Aided secured second prize and Anaina N.K, I BA English Literature Model II secured third prize.The purpose of World Environment Day is to spread awareness about the threat to the environment due to rising pollution levels and climate change. “World Environment Day is a reminder for us to pause and reflect on our actions and their subsequent consequences on the planet. We are living in a world where averting our eyes from the climate crisis is not an option. Ecosystem restoration means undoing the damages caused to the environment by humans to save Earth. The competition helped the students to develop creative writing skills and to reinforce the need for protect our Nature for better tomorrow among the minds of younger generation.
