WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5th every year to raise global awareness on the importance of protecting environment. As a part of creating an awareness on protecting and sustaining the environment, every year the department of commerce as undergone many programs. Even though we the entire human community is facing a pandemic Covid-19, this year the department was decided to arrange a program which will be a rememberable and a great relief to the students during this pandemic situation. The Department has conducted a online meeting on June 1st,2021 to discuss about how to celebrate world environment day and it was decided to have a photo collage of planting a sapling by all the faculty members and students of the department. As the academics were conducted through online mode, the department decided to celebrate world environment day also through online mode. The class in charge of all the years had communicated about the program to their respective students on the same day and had obtained positive responses from the students. Each of the students and faculties of the department had plant a sapling and took a photo of the same and all the photos are combined to have a beautiful video. This initiative of the department has obtained a great appreciation from the students and it make the students to a relief from the present situation and to have a hope of good sign in the near future.

Brief Description of the programme: Department Of Commerce and IEDC, Department of BBA and Logistics Management of St.Pauls College Kalamassery has been organising a webinar in 2021 on ‘Entrepreneurial talk with v-guardian’. The resource person for the webinar was Kochouseph Chittilappilly, Chairman Emeritus, V-Guard. Kochouseph Chittilappilly the resource person gave a detailed talk on entrepreneurship with his experience; he made it clear to the participants about the concerned topic in an interesting way.

Fete Nationale: Cartoon Making Competition

Brief Description of the programme: On 17.12.2020 at 9:30 am a discussion was conducted on Consumer Day celebrations. Five students and a facilitator were present at the meeting and the facilitator was Ms Annjoe. After a lot of discussions, they decided to conduct a Cartoon Making competition regarding consumer rights. All the duties and responsibilities were assigned to several group members.

Brief Description of the programme: Department of Commerce (SF) of St. Paul’s College Kalamassery has organised a webinar in December 2020 on Goal Setting and Time Management extensively for the first-year students of B.Com CA SF as the ’Schola Brevis’. The resource person extensively gave a detailed talk on Goal Setting and Time Management. With his knowledge, he made it clear to the participants about the importance of Time and Goal Setting with interesting stories. He also tells students tips for Time Setting. A Question and Answer section followed the talk. The overall feedback about the program from the participants was very excellent.

She has tried to include each and every points related to IPR in vague. This program was very beneficial to students and teachers as well in the IPR topic.

Food Fest – “PWOLI SANAM”

On the 24 th of February 2020, to bring together the important theme of Food a fun-filled food fair was organised by the Department of Commerce (SF), St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery. The students used innovative ideas to create the ambience and atmosphere of the concerned Programme. There was a beautifully showcased different variety of the signature dishes of delicious homemade food, everything done by the students.
A Seminar on GST & Legal Affairs

A seminar was organized by the Department of Commerce on GST & Legal Affairs by Mr P. A. M. Karim. The talk mainly focused on the basic concept of the legal aspects of GST.
Industrial Visit.

As a part of academics Best Practices & extension activity Department of Commerce (S/F) of St.Paul’s College, Kalamassery has organized an Industrial visit for second-year students (2018-21) to Munnar KDHP Tea Museum on 10.01.2020. Thenceforth, we saw the process of their manufacturing. All these sessions were very informative and practicable in our daily life to the students as well as faculties accompanied. The sessions and visit at KDHP Tea museum completed at 12 pm.
Village Survey Report (UBA)
Date: 24th july 2019.
The objective of the study was village development and to find out the issues and problems of the inhabitants of the area,its intensity ,factors relating to their socio-economic livelihood , literacy rates,occupational streams and waste management techniques. A designated project team under the guidance of H.O.D of the department in Association with Department of English, has implemented the survey. The project team comprised of teachers (Remyamol K.P and Ancy C.A) and students.Initially the coordinator of the project who has been exposed to the panchayath authorities ,guided the survey.
Sand Bag filling at Chellanam Grama Panchayat
The aim of the Programme is to create a Helping mind in the Students Community thereby Social community Development is Possible. The event also helps the students to understand the problems faced by the Community. The students of Final year B.com Self Financing (35) and Teachers Remyamol K.P and Deepthy Gopinath (2) participated in the Programme. The students were filling around 100 Bags.
