Reading Day Celebrations

In collaboration with Department of Malayam and Hindi,  St. Paul's College, Kalamasserry, organized " Reading day celebration' programme's on 19th  June 2019. The function was presided over by Dr.Sobhana Michael, College Principal. Fr. Joseph Palliparambil inaugurated this year's Reading Day Celebration with his inspiring words. Sri. S.B.Vennugopal, The secretary of P.J.Antony Memorial Foundation,Ernakulam, addressed the gathering and gave the  Reading Day's message to Students. Students presented various Hindi and Malayalam literary works.  Dr. P.C Binu,  Dr. Salia Rex, Sarath B. S,  Dr. Sajana Beegam and Gargi .R gave felicitations.


Language- Literary Quiz

As part of ' Reading Day'  Celebrations, the Department of Malayalam conducted a Language - Literary quiz competition.  Student's from various departments actively participated in the programme. Prizes and certificates were given to the winners.


Basheer- Keshavadev Remembrance

Department of Malayalam in association with College Library conducted Basheer- Keshavadev remembrance function under the direction of the Department of Collegiate  Education. The remembrance function was inaugurated by Kerala Sahithya Academy awardee and famous malayalam poet, Sri. S. Rameshan with his speech. College Principal Dr. Sobhana Michael presided over the function. Lectures from the Department of Malayalam Sarath B.S, Gargi R. and College librarian Dr. P C Binu addressed the gathering.


Malayala Sahithya vedhi  (Malayalam Literary Club ) Inauguration

To enhance and to cultivate  a passion for creative writing and literature among the students, the Department of Malayalam formed  Malayalam Literary Club. One of the famous Malayalam young writers and Research Scholar Sri. D. Anil Kumar officially  inaugurated the new venture.

Dr. Sobhana Michael, College Principal, presided over the inauguration ceremony. Fr. Joseph Palliparambil, College Associate Manager, gave the keynote address. Students from various Departments, Archith Ameya (III BA English) ,Gabriela Galeena ( III BA English) , Varsha Antony ( II BSc Physics) and Fathima Thasneem ( I BSc Maths) , presented their own writings at the ceremony. Lectures from the Department of Malayalam , Sarath B.S and Gargi R. also  addressed the gathering.
