150 th GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION
Celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, an essay competition was conducted by the department of Hindi, in Hindi, English and Malayalam, on the topic "Gandhiji aur swathanthratha samgram". Students had actively participated for the same, upholding the nationalistic and patriotic values which had been inculcated in them from their childhood.
Hindi Film Song Competition
Under the hindi students' club, a Hindi film song competition was conducted in degree and PG level. The active participation of students contributed to the success of the competition. Dr. Pramada Ramachandran and Dr. Maya of the department of Mathematics were the judges of this programme.
Reading Day Celebrations
In collaboration with Department of Malayam and Hindi, St. Paul's College, Kalamasserry, organized " Reading day celebration' programme's on 19th June 2019. The function was presided over by Dr.Sobhana Michael, College Principal. Fr. Joseph Palliparambil inaugurated this year's Reading Day Celebration with his inspiring words. Sri. S.B.Vennugopal, The secretary of P.J.Antony Memorial Foundation,Ernakulam, addressed the gathering and gave the Reading Day's message to Students. Students presented various Hindi and Malayalam literary works. Dr. P.C Binu, Dr. Salia Rex, Sarath B. S, Dr. Sajana Beegam and Gargi .R gave felicitations.
PREMCHAND JAYANTI - QUIZ COMPETITION
A quiz competition was conducted by the Department of Hindi, as a part of Premchand Jayanti. The active participation of students from various departments contributed to the success of this event. The winners were awarded with prizes.
HINDI STUDENTS’ CLUB ‘DWANI’- INAUGURAL FUNCTION
To bring out the true calibre that lies within the students, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents, and to increase and improve their proficiency in Hindi language, the Department of Hindi formed the Hindi students' club, 'Dhwani' on 05.08.19.
The college principal Dr. Sobhana Michael officially inaugurated the club and addressed the meeting. Ms. Rakhi Clement, the Department of Hindi lecturer, welcomed the gathering. The inaugural function was manoeuvred by the leaders of the club themselves.The vivid cultural programmes presented by the students filled the event with vibrance.
